Not just experience in performing the surgery, but in post operative care and early recognition of possible complications. The patients should receive educational information on this procedure and it’s risks as well as benefits.
Many ads out there I have viewed recently portray this major abdominal surgery as ” As quick and easy as a trip to the dentist”. This type of ad is dangerous as it downplays the seriousness of bariatric surgery.
