Aetna has just sent out an announcement stating that they have changed their position on the sleeve gastrectomy and will now cover the procedure.
This is good news, as once some of the major insurance companies start covering the procedure, more insurance companies will follow suit.
Gastric sleeve surgery offers quicker weight loss that the lapband, with less risk than the gastric bypass.
